COLOR, COLOR, COLOR.
1. What color dominates your closet?
Mostly blacks, grays, whites, browns and denim (is denim even considered a color?) They're the neutrals that can go with pretty much any other color so I have a lot of them to mix and match. The colors that I do have are mainly the muted or pastel kind like blues or pinks or the dark kind like plum or navy. Greens, reds, yellows and pinks are noticeably absent (though I do have a pop of magenta and peach here and there).
2. If money weren’t an issue how would you change the color emphasis in your closet?
I think there would be a little more color but not too dramatically different from what my closet looks like now. I'm pretty darn pale so certain colors either wash me out or bring out my red/pink undertones. I think I'd branch out a little bit, but probably more so in accessories.
3. What is your mantra about mixing colors?
I have no sense of color mixing. Honestly. I look at other blogs and see some of these crazy color mixes and think "I would have NEVER thought of putting those two colors together in one outfit." I usually have at least one neutral piece on my body and then find a color to go with it. I'm pretty boring.
4. For you, how do you incorporate color into your outfits?
If I'm feeling bold, I'll have one bright piece, like this outfit. But I rarely ever have more than one other-than-neutral color on me (I'm trying to branch out, I promise!). The only accessories that really bring color to my outfits are scarves and jewelry. I guess that's part of the point of this blog: to expose me to all the possibilities that fashion has to offer and find what best flatters me.
5. Which blogger(s) do you think do a good job of incorporating color into their wardrobe?
