I miss...

This. This room right here. This dingy, little, rented-out basement of a obscure campus building that our department turned into a computer lab strictly for us nerdy, computer folk. It was cold, dark, and there were computer parts everywhere. I spent many, many hours in that lab working on programming assignments, mulling over graph theories and drawing bunnies on a white erase board (it was kind of my signature). I made some very good friends, all of which, I'm sad to say, I never maintained contact with after I graduated. I miss that basement. I miss programming late into the night.

The economy has not been kind to my poor nerdy bum but I've remained stubborn and searching. I try not to give in to self pity. Instead, I've been modifying websites to keep me mentally busy (not to mention this blog!) and hoping, hoping, hoping something gives soon. All this free time has given me time to think too. I love fashion blogging and I'm definitely continuing with outfit posts but I think I'm going to start incorporating my nerdy side, too. So be prepared, you lurking readers! Cause you ain't seen nothing yet!

(Also, I don't mean for this to be a mopey post, I guess I'm just feeling a little sentimental and discouraged tonight. But I love a good challenge and I'm gunna make the most of it.)
