For the longest time I've been using Bare Minerals powder because I have super sensitive skin (plus it looks like nothing's there!) Buuuut unfortunately I'm one of the lucky ones that still gets plagued with acne into my adult years and I've found that some days, powder just doesn't provide enough coverage. This presented a problem, though, because of my sensitive skin and most types of foundation that I used in the past caused me to break out really bad (hence switching to powder). But a couple months ago I was fed up with my make up routine and tried out something new.
Enter Clinique's Acne Solutions Liquid Makeup. My Mum's friend (who works at as a Clinique consultant) suggested this to me and I've been swearing by it ever since. It's light but provides a ton of coverage and it gets rid of my acne instead of making it worse. I just use a makeup brush to dab it onto the areas that need extra coverage, followed by a light powdering over the rest of my face with Bare Minerals (it never clogs my pores) and I've got even, clear-looking skin for the rest of the day. Granted, they're both more expensive than a drugstore brands but because I only use a small drop or two every day, the foundation lasts a really long time (I think I've had this bottle for over two months now and it's no where close to empty) and the powder feels never ending (lasts easily 4 or 5 months). If you've never tried bare minerals before, I recommend the starter pack because it comes with amaaazing brushes an it'll give you a good idea on whether or not powder is right for you. You can buy it here! If you don't have a Clinique outlet near you, just go here and order it online, or use Clinique's Foundation Finder (under the makeup menu) to find the foundation that's best for you!
